Daniel T's own description:
As soon as this prototype was released, thanks to the generosity of members of NintendoAge.com, I quickly got my hands on a reproduction cartridge and recorded the first ever and only speedrun of this game.
While this game is somewhat easier compared to its final version, better known as Power Punch II, I did have to figure out alternate ways of winning in Round 1 against some of the opponents, especially with the universal champion, Fly-Mo.
I was lucky enough to discover that by entering the final fight with a little bit less than maxed out boxing attributes from the training ships, Mike’s regular punches will do incredible amounts of damage to Fly-Mo, thus making it possible to beat the bastard in the first round hahaha!
However, the creator’s of the game definitely did some bug checking with the final version, as Fly-Mo takes very little damage when hit with regular punches in Power Punch II, regardless of his training ship totals.
Played all in one shot by Daniel “DTysonator” Teixeira back in May 2009 on an original NES console, using a regular NES controller and a reproduction NES cartridge of the never officially released prototype of Mike Tyson’s Intergalactic Power Punch, with absolutely no cheating devices or rapid fire/turbo buttons.
